• I need some help trying to determine which parts of my website I should make using as a Page and which part as a Post. My website is going to offer a listing of local Hotels which people can leave feedback and reviews. I was planning on making a Post for each hotel that describes what it has to offer. Then users can leave comments which would actually be reviews. I plan on using the http://www.gdstarrating.com plugin to achieve the ratings. I also want to be able to display the Top 10 highly rated hotels. I was going to create a Top Rated Page that is a sub-page/child of the Hotels Page I created.

My current structure is something like this:
    Pages: Home, About, Contact, Hotels
    Sub-pages: [Hotels] – Top Rated

    Post Category: Hotels

So if you want to see a listing of all of the hotels you would go to mysite.com/hotels/ Page. This displays all of the Posts under the Hotels category.

mysite.com/hotels/top-rated/ would display the top ranked hotels.

mysite.com/hotels/hotel-name.html would have the hotel information and user reviews/ratings.

The other option I can think of is instead of using Pages, just create a Hotels category with a Top Rated and Reviews sub-categories.

What would be the easiest way to setup a user review site like this? Should I make everything a Page or Posts with structured Categories, or a hybrid of the two?

If you do it this way I think you’ll lock yourself into manually switching categories around, or at least cause yourself some extra work. Sounds like you are better off with pages to me.
