Need help in site loading speed bost

Hello, I have a complicated issue, long story short, the site is too slow.
I know why it is slow, but don’t have any clear idea how can it can be fixed. I have read a huge number of posts about how to speed up the site, about the browser caching, css, js minify, cdn, normal caching, image size control.. the problem is, this things are helping but the site is still too slow.

I’ve built this page, and I know the problem is in a huge number of scripts and css’ files the site is loading. It uses modern “legatus” premium theme and also, visual composer plugin. Apart from that website owners put a lot of ads in there, the site loads a big number of facebook scripts which are significantly slowing the speed as well. So the site is just full of “components”, it is really big, and it is loading slow, about 6 seconds, which is pretty bad result.

I made a lot of comparisons with similar news websites. For example there is a page with 200 elements to load (pingdom data), it weights like 7 megabytes, but loads like 1.5-2 times faster that mine, which has 300 elements to load and weights 3.2 mgb. I don’t understand why, only because it has more stuff to load?

Visual composer or theme are not the main problem in particular, when I disable the composer, or put another light theme the site becomes faster, but not about 60% faster, just 30% faster or so.
Server is also good, there is another site hosted and it loads well.

I presume the problem is in all this details, I need to optimize all. But I don’t have any idea how. Please provide any advices or maybe give me a link where can I get professional help at reasonable price.
