• Hi. I am looking to remake http://yogabharati.org using wordpress. Currently its in Joomla and works O.K.

What I am looking to do is a few things. First of all I am looking for a theme where it has “multiple blogs”. What I mean is that on the homepage there is a blog with only specific posts. These posts are on events coming up and “Thanks for the support” posts. Then on another page there is a full fledged blog. I think there is a widget for this but I really dont know what to search for.

Also I need a theme where I can create pages and BLOCK them from showing up on the menu bar. These pages will be for things like flyers which I will like from another page.

EDIT: I think I might have found something useful here:

What I want is option number 4, but still need a good theme to integrate this into.

The most appropriate way of doing that would be to use custom post types for your events posts. There are some good plugins available that provide a user interface for post type management. I personally use this one.

If you have enough expertise or willingness to learn, you can integrate custom post types into any theme. However, there are (commercial) themes available that will do this for you without additional plugins. I have no idea what your level of expertise is, what your exact requirements are, or which themes are the best. You’ll need to search and make a decision for yourself.

You can do this with any theme through the Appearance > Menu settings.
