• I updated my site to the latest version of WordPress and now there are hundreds of errors. For example:
    Notice: force_ssl_login is deprecated since version 4.4.0! Use force_ssl_admin() instead. in /home/content/33/8393133/html/wp-includes/functions.php on line 3783

    Notice: The called constructor method for WP_Widget in mailchimpSF_Widget is deprecated since version 4.3.0! Use
    __construct()
    instead. in /home/content/33/8393133/html/wp-includes/functions.php on line 3846

    It seems to be preventing me from reactivating or updating many plugins.

    Curious if a file became corrupt during the update.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Cheers,

    Caycee

    Try downloading WordPress again, access your server via SFTP or FTP, or a file manager in your hosting account’s control panel, and delete then replace your copies of everything on the server except the wp-config.php file and the /wp-content/ directory with fresh copies from the download. This will effectively replace all of your core files without damaging your content and settings.

    Some uploaders tend to be unreliable when overwriting files, so don’t forget to delete the original files before replacing them.

    Hi James.

    Thank you so much for your note. As luck would have it, this site is receiving a lot of traffic because of a news story today. I will try tonight when things have settled down a bit.

    Happy holidays.
