    I have a nav menu item called Brands where I’ve been adding items, and the dropdown has gotten so long it’s going off the bottom of the page. Is there a nav menu plugin that solves this issue, perhaps with some horizontality and a “more” item, or an accordionlike collapsing action?

    Or should I divide Brands into two nav items, Brands A-M and Brands N-Z? Would this affect SEO? Each item under Brands is a category.

    My theme is Twenty Twelve, I am willing to switch, if necessary, if there’s some other theme that would solve this issue.

    Thanks for any advice!

    Well it will not effect on SEO and you can use other theme with MEGA MENU. Still you can use this code to your Custom CSS

    .sub-menu {
    		display: inline-block;
    		width: 200px !important;
    	}

    	.sub-menu li {
    		width: 50% !important;
    	}

    	.sub-menu li a:hover {
    		color: #FFFFFF;
    	}

    	.sub-menu li:nth-child(even) {
    		float: right;
    	}
    }

    The better solution would be to rethink your website’s architecture.

    Or maybe just use a Mega Menu plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/megamenu/

    I wouldn’t introduce custom behaviour that you don’t see on other popular websites.

    Thank you. I may use Mega Menu. Not sure what structure would work better for this kind of issue. I do have all the categories on the sidebar as well, so I could maybe get away with not having the menu item, but I think people tend to go to the menu.
