We’re trying to start a 3-column blog, with the main content in the middle and 1 side bar on each side.

More or less what this theme looks like:

But, we don’t like the navigation where it’s at on that site. We’d rather have it horizontal either above or below the header. We’re not too familiar with customizing WordPress and any help would really help! Thank you very much.
