Native notification is still sending

    Hi there,

    I want to customize the notification if someone replies to a comment.

    When I check the “Notification Disabled” it won’t send out the customized notification but when “Notification Enabled” is checked, it sends out the new notification and the native WordPress notification.

    Hoping you can provide guidance. Thank you! @voltronik

    Thanks for your message.

    Is this a comment on the default ‘Post’ post type or a custom post type?
    Is the comment triggered via the standard comment form below a post, or somewhere else?

    @voltronik yup, it’s the default Blog Post and yes, it’s triggered by a standard comment form below a post although we enabled Jetpack and turned on the Subscriptions checked boxes (which you can find in the ‘Discussion’ tab)

    This usually happens when a plugin or theme is causing a conflict somewhere.
    Does it work if you disable Jetpack?

    I just turned off and deactivated Jetpack, then cleared cache for good measure but I still didn’t receive the notification. @voltronik

    Hi @jpenad,
    I’ve just tested this and it appears to be working as expected for me.
    When disabled, the New Comment notification isn’t sending an email but when enabled, it is.
    Can you post a link to a screenshot of the notification screen that shows the Comment notification that you’ve set up?

    I had to enable the notification and it’s working now.

    The issue is, we want to use Jetpack so that we can have the subscription checkboxes at the bottom of the comment form for new/non-logged-in users

    Hi @jpenad,
    Glad you got it working.

    I’ll see what I can do about adding Jetpack support to BNFW but not sure if this is possible or, if it is, when it’ll be.
