Native blocks vs classic shortcodes speed

I understand you want to keep your site as lightweight and fast as possible, and avoid anything that could slow it down.

In most cases the newer WooCommerce Blocks are more optimized and generally lighter than classic shortcodes because they load assets more conditionally and follow a more modern rendering approach.

That said, performance also depends on how you use them. If you load a lot of products, filters, or multiple dynamic blocks on the same page, it can still become heavy.

So overall, Blocks are usually the better choice for performance, but keeping layouts simple and limiting large product queries will make the biggest difference for site speed.
