A while ago I tried to create my own related post functionality by using a tutorial and adding code to single.php. Unforunately most articles covered relation based on tags. I do not use tags so I want random articles from that same sub category.

I have modified the code to the following:
    http://pastebin.com/yhiCYuTq

Unfortunately 50% of the time it is showing completely unrelated posts from completely different categories!

Is there anyone more experienced with WordPress and Php that can see what I did wrong?

    regards
