See if there any entry in your database .
Take a look in your database using phpMyAdmin if you have access to it…. you may still find it in the database.
Do you know how I would do this using Plesk? (my host is laughingsquid)
Under Services you have : Databases
Ok, i am in phpMyAdmin and i clicked on wp_posts then at the bottom i clicked GO for the query and it is showing all my posts except the one that dissapeared. I guess its ok that I can’t bring it back but I want to know how it got deleted. Is there anything else I should check in phpMyadmin?
No Idea from my part 🙂
And i dont think Someone Can give explanation .
We dont have enough info to answer you
Perhaps your host uploaded a database backup without telling you? Or a plugin you have installed went crazy?
Well, I haven’t installed any updates. Could it really be my host? I have heard nothing but good things from Laughing Squid
Every host (no matter how sterling) at some point is going to have a hard drive problem and have to upload backups. What you do now is simply email your host and inquire.
This has happened to us multiple times now. Either parts of a post disappears or an entire post is deleted. We can’t figure out what is going on. We lost a post yesterday with comments on it and the whole post was deleted with the comments, yet newer posts were still there. It was only the one post.
Forgot to say we’re on 2.0.*
