the link was to another girls site. im not sure how i add my own theme, i just got wordpress yesterday, so i know nothing about the coding of it.
Then you will NOT add “your own” theme for a while. Not until you learn how make a theme, sorry. There is no other way.
thats exactly what im asking!! ive designed something in photoshop that i want to use on my site, but i dont know the style sheets for wordpress. ive always just coded things for myspace, but not im trying it for wordpress.
so im looking for something that has maybe a basic style sheet that i can edit to my own layout.
I was in the same position, and what I did was study the default theme package that is part of WordPress until I understood how to customize it.
It’ll take a lot longer if you don’t spend time reading the Codex.
Even making the simplest themes requires some familiarity with how it all works.
Go here:
http://themes.wordpress.net .. look around. Find a theme that is similar in structure to what you’ve drawn. (2 col. left, 2 col. right, 3 col., etc.)
Download it. Study it. Implement it. Rome wasn’t built in a day and CSS won’t be learned in a day either.
