same here– the save button is spinning when I try and save the page as a template – I have updated all my plugins
Elementor Version 0.7.1 and also the theme GeneratePressVersion: 1.3.38
should this be happening ?
J
I don’t have any problem saving with 0.7.1 – @adminyazo, to help the devs, always post your system info when you post a bug or issue. Dashboard > Elementor >System Info
There is a block that is highlighted so you can copy and paste! 😊

Hi Mike,
Did you contact your host provider in the last time.
There is a problem your site setup.
as you can see for some reason he redirects to your root folder.
Hi Yehudah!
http://mikegriffin.me/testbed/ opens properly for me. So does the login URL http://mikegriffin.me/testbed/wp-admin/
You should be able to login as team.pojo
The problem IS that when I try to My Library > Edit with Elementor, it ends up saying too many redirects and shows my root.
Hi,
it doesn’t matter if it’s open properly, see the error message
The http://www.mikegriffin.me page isn’t working
http://www.mikegriffin.me redirected you too many times
why your root domain show here if your installation is in a sub folder ?
if you edit a normal with elementor does it work ?
Yes. http://mikegriffin.me/testbed/template-2/ > Edit with Elementor works fine.
This seems to me to be an extension of my report that Elementor won’t work until a page/post is published. Similarly, I have recently see that it won’t work for static home pages like http://mikegriffin.me/testbed/. If I try to edit that static home page, the same message.
It seems that in any case where Elementor cannot find the folder in the page URL, it errors out with too many redirects. This is true whether the WP installation is in the site root or in the site sub-folder.
Elementor always work when the edit URL is of the form:
http://mikegriffin.me/testbed/TEMPLATE-NAME/?elementor
Elementor doesn’t work in a static home page situation where the URL is of the form:
http://mikegriffin.me/testbed/?elementor /strong>, evidently because there is no TEMPLATE-NAME
And it also doesn’t work in the My Library case where the URL is of the form:
http://mikegriffin.me/testbed/?elementor_library=TEMPLATE-NAME&elementor
In other words, it has been my experience, irrespective of whether WP is installed in the root or a sub-folder that Elementor cannot find the page to edit if the URL is not of the form:
http://site/TEMPLATE-NAME/?elementor
BTW, if I try to Edit with Elementor on my root site static home page:
http://www.mikegriffin.me/ the result is http://www.mikegriffin.me/?elementor but no page with the warning of too many redirects. You can click through on that link and see that it just shows my home page.
Similarly, in my root installation my library, any My Library > Edit with Elementor resolves to something like
http://www.mikegriffin.me/?elementor_library=boston-city-business-landing-page&elementor
and you can click through on that link and see that it just resolves to my home page.
These are not big deals, they are just aggravations. 😉
It isn’t my hosting provider or your software. I have another “dormant”, ie damn near clean, hosted site on the same provider. I don’t see any of these issues there. So my bad.
It is something I have configured on my site that is causing these issues with the root whether the host site root or the folder root.
I’m guessing that it is something in the .htaccess I’m using on this site. I have a lot of 301s and the full https://gist.github.com/Zodiac1978/3145830
<expletive deleted> I’d rather it was your software 😩
