My dream WordPress theme….

– Has the option of light text on a dark background. *mandatory*

– Supports widgets á la Twitter and facebook “like/share” options.

– Has a blockquote function as an actual discernable blockquote from the rest of the entry text! *mandatory*

– Starts each entry off with a post date, time and day of the week. Preferably in it’s own entry header or each entry is posted in it’s own box or respective area that makes it clear that it’s not all one continuous pile of type-verbal goo.

– Lets you choose between 1, 2, 3, or 4 columns and their respective widths. *mandatory*

– When viewing a single entry, said entry has a link to previous/next entries. *mandatory*

– Leaves metadata such as ‘tags’,’categories’, posted by’ and such nonsense to the END of the post instead of including it in the title header.

– Does not have an annoying font type/size/colour scheme that is impossible to override in the stylesheet. I do really REALLY want to maim some of you theme-makers for this atrocity. BADLY.

Damn these ovaries for granting me a sense of aesthetics.

So, any genius coder out there who can actually dream up a theme to fulfill these requirements? No?
But if by slim chance anyone of you clever clogs come up with a close second, you’ll be my friend forever. (Or at least until I gain the knowledge to build such an apparently “lucid and impossible” theme myself. Might take light years.)
