Looks like wp_commentmeta table in does not exist in your database. Check your database tomake sure.
Is this a new installation? If this is a new installation and there is no content, you may want to consider a new, fresh installation.
Or, are you trying to update an existing WP?
Please give some more details.
Have you created the database?

Thanks everyone for your help. I ended up dropping out all the tables and had wordpress start over again. It rewrote all the tables fixing the error.
However now I found another problem. WP is unable to write directories to my server, since I’m using a shared server. I called my ISP and they say there is a workaround but they are unauthorized to help me with how. Anyone using a shared server that knows the workaround trick?

What is the full error message?
1st thing you might want to do using your FTP client, is check permissions on your WP install
I called my ISP and they say there is a workaround but they are unauthorized to help me with how.
I am not sure I understand
tfix:
Hint: You are probably not the first person who has that issue with that hosting provider.
Hint #2: Google is your friend. Have you tried a search for “How do I modify file and directory permissions on the shared server at my hosting godaddy/hostgator/…?”
What did those search results tell you to do?

@tara,
My ISP said they do not allow writing to a shared server. They said there is a workaround because there are several WP users using the shared server and WP is working for them. However, they (my ISP) said they are not authorized to help me with a WP issue.

Resolved the upload problem by tweaking permissions on the wp-content folder until the uploads worked.
Thanks everyone for your input.
