• Our museum is closed for the winter, reopening Sat 30 March 2024. I’ve added an event “museum closed” from today, repeating daily until 30 March. In the calendar it then shows as closed that date. The only way I can get rid of it is to manually delete 29 March from the scheduled dates. Incidentally if I extend the pattern beyond April and take out other dates they are also out of synch by one day. I suspect this is linked to the leap year. Anyone else had this problem or got suggestions?

You can pretty easily test the leap year theory by doing a test that ends prior to February 29th. In my testing, this seems to work as expected; but from what you’re describing, I’m not sure we’re expecting the same thing.

My expectation is that when you set the ‘until’ date, that date is the last date that the event will occur on. So if you want the closure to run until March 29th, set March 29th as the end of the recurring series. It seems you’re expecting that ‘until’ is a non-inclusive value.

Thanks Joe – sorry my mistake – I should have said repeating daily until 29th March. By trial and error I’ve found the issue is actually on 10th March. This date appears twice in View Scheduled Dates – once without times and once with, so it’s throwing the dates list out by one day. That’s why when I wanted to remove the 30th manually, I had to delete the 29th.

This can be seen more clearly if I extend the pattern to 30th April to cover our next open weekend. In the View Scheduled Dates there are again 2 versions of 10 March and the list ends on 29 April, not the 30th. It shows correctly on the front end, but if I’m manually editing out dates I have to take out the date I want minus 1
