When creating a new event the text box is not responding. Can’t click into it in “visual” or “text” views. Can not edit text in existing events.

I’ve usually seen this as a problem caused by another plug-in, such as a page builder plug-in. Are you using any plug-ins along those lines?

I have the same problem suddenly! No page builder. Really need to fix this obviously.

I am planning to redo site with Beaver Builder however. Is that going to be a problem?

In this case, it’s probably a conflict with JetPack (see https://github.com/Automattic/jetpack/issues/7598) – I’ll have a workaround in the next release.

Assuming I’m correct on the causes of your specific issues, this is resolved in the latest release.
