Multisite temporarily alongside static site

I have two current static html websites, which I want to eventually one wordpress multisite installation. I will be adding additional sites at a later date.

I installed WP to “domain.com” in a the “domain.com/site/” directory and got multisite going.

I set up two sites via multisite (site1 and site2).

When attempting to view site1 or site2, all I see is the content from domain.com/index.php

I imagine this has something to do with the siteurl when I first set it up, however now I cannot figure out how to change that. I will probably end up re-installing because I have tried to make so many changes I probably messed it up more.

What is the correct way to set this up, so I (and the public) can still view domain.com/index.php website for now while I build the two sites in multi-site?

– I want the public to see my old site until I am ready to switch it over
– I want to be able to preview the two new sites so I can create the pages
