Multisite Function

Could we make use of WordPress Network (multisite) for 2 completely different sites such as: http://www.example1.com and http://www.example2.com ??

The reason is obvious:I want to be the admin with my URL site: http://www.example0.com and to have the administration of my 2 customers sites:

http://www.example1.com
http://www.example2.com

I am asking that because, from what I read, u can only create a network of sites that have different sub-domain name or different sub-directory:
e.g. example1.example0.com or example0.com/example1

If we can’t, what we do in such a case??
