    Hello,

We got a multisite here. There are just 2 sites. Both of which are connected with Constant Contact. We were able to create and embed forms. This bit works fine. We’re able to sign up. We get email notifications. It’s all good apart from one last thing – subscribers are not getting added to the lists.

I spoke with Constant Contact support via chat, got directed to the call centre, got directed to Tier 2 WP Integration team, got it all reviewed just to bee directed to this board.

A bit more about the setup:
    – Google Analytics™ tracking opt-in – off
    – Disable E-mail Notifications – off
    – Bypass Constant Contact cron scheduling – on
    – Opt-in Location:
    – – Add a checkbox to the comment field in your posts – on
    – – Add a checkbox to the main WordPress login page – off

There’s on strange bit. Everything works fine for site 1. Site to is displaying a critical error notice on ‘Disconnect’ tab. It says: There has been a critical error on your website. Please check your site admin email inbox for instructions. There are no further details and no definitely no errors. We checked the site for problems and we found nothing.

Please let me know if you need any further details.

    Best,
    Devs @ Saint Design

If you have access to error logs through your hosting, that’ll be the best place to check for what error is being experienced here. The messaging above doesn’t tell us anything. You may have also been emailed about the error with more information provided in the email message.

Thanks for a swift response. We reviewed the logs. The only lines relating to the plugin are:

    vmedia.digital 0 xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx – – [24/Nov/2020:16:17:21 +0100] “GET /wp-content/plugins/constant-contact-forms/assets/images/check_circle.svg HTTP/2.0” 200 490 “https://vmedia.digital/wp-content/plugins/constant-contact-forms/assets/css/style.css?ver=1.9.0” “Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.14; rv:83.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/83.0”
    vmedia.digital 0 xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx – – [24/Nov/2020:16:17:25 +0100] “GET /wp-content/plugins/constant-contact-forms/assets/images/oval.min.svg HTTP/2.0” 200 353 “https://vmedia.digital/wp-content/plugins/constant-contact-forms/assets/css/style.css?ver=1.9.0” “Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.14; rv:83.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/83.0”

Basically form validation icons were loaded. The post request following the other two was successful but we’re not sure if it’s related to the Constant Contact form we tried.

    vmedia.digital 1 xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx – – [24/Nov/2020:16:17:25 +0100] “POST /wp-admin/admin-ajax.php HTTP/2.0” 200 311 “https://vmedia.digital/” “Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.14; rv:83.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/83.0”

Error log is empty. There was no email about the critical error mentioned on the “Disconnect” page of site 2.

We’re happy to provide further details – let us know what you need.

Hmm…we could try to get some extra error reporting and logging enabled at the WordPress level, but that’s also a process that would involve editing your site’s wp-config.php file which may be intimidating and not wanted to do. However, until we can know what the error is, we’re also kind of bound at the hands.

We got something. The following fatal error is displayed on ‘Disconnect’ page of 2nd site:

    Fatal error: Uncaught Ctct\Exceptions\CtctException: Forbidden in /usr/www/users/XXX/vmi20/wp-content/plugins/constant-contact-forms/vendor/constantcontact/constantcontact/src/Ctct/Services/BaseService.php:78 Stack trace: #0 /usr/www/users/XXX/vmi20/wp-content/plugins/constant-contact-forms/vendor/constantcontact/constantcontact/src/Ctct/Services/AccountService.php(99): Ctct\Services\BaseService->convertException(Object(GuzzleHttp\Exception\ClientException)) #1 /usr/www/users/XXX/vmi20/wp-content/plugins/constant-contact-forms/includes/class-connect.php(184): Ctct\Services\AccountService->getAccountInfo(‘d3d3c1eb-36f5-4…’) #2 /usr/www/users/XXX/vmi20/wp-includes/class-wp-hook.php(287): ConstantContact_Connect->admin_page_display(”) #3 /usr/www/users/XXX/vmi20/wp-includes/class-wp-hook.php(311): WP_Hook->apply_filters(”, Array) #4 /usr/www/users/XXX/vmi20/wp-includes/plugin.php(478): WP_Hook->do_action(Array) #5 /usr/www/users/XXX/vmi20/wp-admin/admin.php(254): do_action(‘ctct_forms_page…’) #6 /usr/www/ in /usr/www/users/XXX/vmi20/wp-content/plugins/constant-contact-forms/vendor/constantcontact/constantcontact/src/Ctct/Services/BaseService.php on line 78

We didn’t find any other errors so far.

Thank you for the patience over the long weekend. We hope you had an enjoyable holiday if you’re in the US.

With the error above, I am wondering about the user that’s currently connected. For example is it the account owner? Or just a user that’s been added to the account as a Campaign Creator user role?

    Thread Starter saintdesign

    (@saintdesign)

You’re right. 1st site was connected via account owner. 2nd site was connected using a different user account. We’d like to disconnect the 2nd site and redo the authorisation but the disconnect page is corrupted. Is there an alternative way to disconnect the plugin?

Do you consider yourself fairly technical and developer-like? Or would you be better having proverbial hand held or someone else to do some technical work?

I’m a front end dev + we got back end devs in the house. We’re happy to follow your instructions. We can move the rest of troubleshooting to emails if it’s easier. What’s the best way to contact you?
