We hold monthly meetings that can be held at either of two venues. Is it possible to set up a repeating event with different repeats at one or other venue?
Currently, it looks as though two repeating events have to be set up. But, this means that this only shows one of them: https://u3adacorum.org/staging/event-types/?event_type=479
Is there way to have two or more venues for a repeating event, and a separate description for each event?

  • When I have an event that is in multiple venues, I create the event for the venue that is used the most. Then I edit the individual repeating events that are at other venues to change the venue. You can also change the description of each event. Maybe not ideal, but not all that difficult. (Unless you have a lot of events like this.) All the event calendar plugins have their limitations, but EventPrime has the most flexibility in the free version of any of the plugins I looked at. I have been using it for several years and still love it. I currently have 1000+ events, 160+ venues, 80+ organizers (theatres) and 420+ performers (shows) in our system. (And events are deleted after they are over.)

    Hi @msapsard,

You can certainly have different venues and event descriptions for parent and child events within a recurring series. As @lpint mentioned, individual events will need to be updated after the series has been generated.

@lpint, thank you for your valuable contributions and for consistently supporting the community. Your assistance is greatly appreciated.

We would also like to share that we are actively exploring the feasibility of enhancing the Quick Edits feature to allow users to bulk-select events and update specific fields more efficiently.

If you have any further questions or require any assistance, please do not hesitate to reach out.
