    Thank you for the suggestion! In the latest update, you can make an additional taxonomy query, just how you described. Please see details under Settings -> Custom Content -> Loop, for the taxonomy parameter.

    Oh, I should have mentioned that the first taxonomy and value parameters are specified without “_1”.

    [loop type="POST_TYPE" taxonomy="FOO" value="BAR" taxonomy_2="FOO_2" value_2="BAR_2" count="5"]

    Just in case someone else is wondering how to do it.
