• .org Installed on Hostinger. Seems I used .org sometime in 2010. Once I choose my domain name what appears is “Hello World” using the Twenty-Twenty Five plug in. I cannot seem to be able to remove this page. WordPress.org seems to remember my username (azmut) from 2010 and displays @azmut. When I use this URL: https://profiles.worpress.org/azmut/ you can see what I mean. Also I initially tried WordPress.com where the picture of me you see at that URL above was created but now shows up on the same URL. How do I fix this?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

When I visit the domain you mentioned, I see a newly set up WordPress with the current standard theme (not plugin) TwentyTwentyFive. You have to log in to the backend of the website to make changes, i.e. under /wp-admin/. You should have the login details for this, otherwise you can try to request them again via “Forgot password”. You should then be able to edit everything in the backend. You can find an introduction to this here, for example: https://learn.wordpress.org/learning-pathway/user/

Please note that this separate installation of WordPress at your host Hostinger has no connection to wordpress.org. Your profile here is irrelevant.

That page you see appears to be cached at wordpress somewhere. After install and at the dashboard there is a “Hello World” page that I can edit, remove etc. Where did that first “Hello World” and the username (@azmut) come from if it was not cached. There is no backend available to remove that “Hello World” page.

Also you expressed that “Your profile here is irrelevant” which sound ominous as I don’t know what it means.

“Hello World” is the first post that appears in WordPress after installation. You can find it in the backend under Posts, see: https://wordpress.org/documentation/article/posts-screen/

I can see your nickname somewhere on your website. Instead, I see your email address as the author name on the only post “Hello World”. You probably stored it that way in your backend. You can edit this under Users, see: https://wordpress.org/documentation/article/users-screen/ – as already mentioned, this has nothing to do with your account here at wordpress.org.

And please refrain from using your email address here in posts here in the forum. This is not in your best interest, as you will receive spam as a result.

EDIT: As already mentioned, your backend can be accessed here.
