[Resolved] Multiple postie post

  • Hello,

When I send a post to my wordpress blog (hosted by godaddy), I end up with multiple post on the blog. Just now I tried it and get 3 postings.

I am using http://www.setcronjob.com/ to run hourly and it goes to this url: http://mydomain.net/wp-content/plugins/postie/get_mail.php.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. We will be losing internet connection beginning next week and will be using a ham radio (from our boat) to send emails to post to the blog. Would love to get this working!

    Thank you!

P.S. I just tried disabling the setcronjob and that seems to have fixed the problem, i am only getting one post now. In a prior version the documentation said you had to have “something” access the website to get the post to be read, is this no longer the case?

  • I just tried sending another post (cron job disabled) and it posted on the blog 6 times! I guess I still have a problem ….

I’d love to help, but I would need access to your blog. Please contact me at postie-help@devzing.com if you’d like to do this.

Unfortunately i am also having this problem.

I installed it first – no problems.
Trying to identify an issue i uninstalled it.
Then after finding out my “rogue” plugin – reinstalled it!
Now when i send an email – the mailbox shows one email
but my posts start to fill up with the same email, 22, 23, 24 and so on!

Please help as i really need this to work!

What is your “Delete email after posting” setting set to?
