Multiple Page Layout Errors
-
The layout for our web page keeps changing. First, the widget listing our meeting dates was deleted. I recreated that widget, but then two other widgets disappeared.
Today I looked at the home page and saw that the header with our featured post has disappeared, messing up the layout for the whole page. I tried replacing it with no luck.
I have not made any attempts to alter the layout for our page. I’m baffled and frustrated. And it’s also frustrating that the only support option appears to be these forums.

Is this your site? http://www.sfpresby.org/ If so, the initial page looks fine to me. Where was that header to go?
You should also post here, https://wordpress.org/support/theme/point
Yes, http://www.sfpresby.org is our web site.
Up until today, the image from the latest post was displayed in large format just above the bar labelled “Latest”, along with the title of the post in all caps.
The widgets on the right are a problem, too. Our meeting schedule disappeared. I recreated it, but then our links to Facebook and Twitter vanished, along with other info we’d displayed.
Are you the only admin?
Yes.
It is strange to have an entire block of text just disappear like someone deleted it.
When you go to the dashboard is the post still there?
Yes, the post is still there. In fact, a smaller version is still visible on the home page (2016 Presbyterian Youth Triennium). But previously a large format version of the image was featured at the top of the page.
The widgets, however, are completely gone. And I’m hesitant to redo them, because I’m afraid of losing the widget with our meeting schedule.
Did you upgrade the theme? Looks like there were/are problems.

No, I haven’t upgraded the theme. I haven’t made any modifications to page, aside from adding posts and documents.
Re-post the missing post.
The only way to find out what is going on is to try
-deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).
-switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems. In the theme do you have featured turned on? and what category?
