• The client has grouped the downloadable files and would like to have a unique email template sent to the visitor based on the group from which they requested the file. (File from Group A > Email A, Group B > Email B) I see only one email template available for any and all files.

I understand adding an entire email template area may be a bit of an overkill. Would it be possible to add a simple conditional to the field with a parameter in the shortcode to pass to it? That would work for our needs.

Thanks for any help you can give!

  • I don’t see any way to do that without making several modifications to email-before-download.php.

The plugin authors, m&s consulting, haven’t added any new features in some time, so I kind of doubt they’ll mod it, but I suppose it doesn’t hurt to ask them. On the Description page they have a way to pay them $10 for support and I think there’s an email address for them or something like that where you can try and ask them (they might see your ticket here, not sure)
