Good day. Wanted to ask how is possible to add products in 2 languages by import function? I prepared 2 separate .csv files on different languages and with same ID for same products. But after importing they are not connected between each other. I got just 2 same products on different languages. Can find them only separately. When one of them is selected on marketplace and I’m switching the language – web just returning to Home page on another language. Thanks in advance

Also I know there is a function to add a selected translation (just choose prepared product from list). But my question is how to make this process automatical while importing from .csv files. Because clicking every single product to connect it with translation is not the best way I believe.

    Hi, @twinkling!

By default, the core WooCommerce software operates on a single site language. If you want to add multilanguage functionality to your site, you would want to use a plugin like WPML.

Are you already using a multilanguage plugin on your site?

Yes, WPML plugin is already in use. But it allows only to make translation manually for every single product. Or they advice to get separate plugin for WooCommerce – WooCommerce Import Add-On Pro which cost is quite big. So without this plugin is possible to make auto connected translation for products loaded with .csv?

P.S. Also mentioned that when I’m adding .csv file – ID for product is not the same which I write in document. WooCommerce chooses his own ID. Is it ok?

    Hey again!

We wouldn’t have any kind of insight into how to import products for use with wpml in translating with more languages.

If wpml doesn’t have any more insight into this, I’d recommend using the plugin that they recommended.

    Have a great one!

My pleasure, and you have a great one!

I’m going to mark this as resolved, as wpml would be better suited to help here 🙂
