They are part of the default language pack you have installed. So presumably the admin side is all in Italian as well.
Hi!
Thank you for your replay. (This is my first experience with wordpress…)
Yes, all the admin side is in Italian, you are right.
What I had to do now?
I wouldn’t cancel Italian wordpress and re-install English wordpress.
1_Can I have both version on the same site?
2_Do you see any better solution?
3_If I cancel wordpress how can I save the content fo my articles?
Thanks again,
Violante

there are a few multi lingual plugins out there they may help.
Also have a look at:

that may be useful.
thank you I found what I needed: a plugin very nice (WPML).
Now I have already realised the structure of all my new site (english and italian) and I am working on the contents. I hope my site will be on line very soon!!!!

Hello.
I am using WordPress 3.0 italian version.
I am using a free theme I found on the web and I succeded to customize IT as I liked.
I would like to create a site in English language (as first language) and then italian ( I can translate the content by myself)
MY PROBLEM: the default texts “leave a comment, no comments, etc.” when I publish my pages still are in Italian.
I look at the code of my theme but there, the texts are already in English, so I did’nt understand. why? I had to use English version of WordPress or there is a option to change the languae of the software?
thank you very much
