Enabling WordPress debug mode and displaying/logging the errors results in literally nothing. There are no errors shown, no relevant information what so ever can be retrieved. Rather frustrating. :\
Yes, this is true. I have to move to WPML if there will be no update. I don’t have any possibility to work on my site, except disabling mqtranslate, but then all the translation shows up in one space. Any fix soon?

I am really sorry to hear you have issues with mqTranslate / WordPress 4.0.1.
However, without further details, a fix will be difficult to find as the plugin and WordPress 4.0.1 works great together on all the websites we run on our servers (test and production environments).
Try to remove the wp-contents/plugins/mqtranslate folder to see if it brings your site back. Then reinstall the plugin (all settings will be kept).

Hey chsxf thanks for your post. Since my initial post was rather sparse I went on a little plugin collision check and found out that mqTranslate 2.8 does indeed work perfectly fine. So I apologize for saying it didn’t work.
I’m using the premium Final theme which comes with/uses Shortcodes Ultimate and Contact Form 7. So I tried turning on and off the plugins I’m using to see what causes trouble, my results:
When using Final (Vergo) theme:
mqTranslate 2.8 works, mqTranslate 2.8 works with qTranslate slug 1.1.7
mqTranslate 2.8 collides with Shortcodes Ultimate 4.9.3
qTranslate slug 1.1.7 collides with Contact Form 7 – Version 4.0.2
Shortcodes Ultimate 4.9.3 works, Shortcodes Ultimate 4.9.3 works with Contact Form 7 – Version 4.0.2
When using Twenty Fourteen (WordPress) theme:
mqTranslate 2.8 works with qTranslate slug 1.1.7 and Shortcodes Ultimate 4.9.3, but collide with Contact Form 7 – Version 4.0.2.
When one of the plugin collides it now doesn’t break the front-end anymore, “only” the admin area becomes blank. I believe this was “resolved” because Contact Form 7 had a small update which I installed today (was released 12 hours ago).
I hope it would be possible to make mqTranslate/qTranslate slug work together again with Shortcodes Ultimate and Contact Form 7, so how it used to work before 4.0.1.

As I wrote it is mqtranslate problem. I disabled all plugins and enabled only mqtranslate and my panel suddenly is hidden and I can’t enter any text. Tried to delete folder and install again, no difference. Plugin still crashes my admin panel pages.
Also I don’t use contact form so it’s not that problem.
Hi @ryanlv have you tested a different theme especially one of WordPress default themes?

In order to fix your issue, I have to understand it. And as I cannot reproduce it, I cannot find the cause.

I moved to WPML. No help needed anymore. WPML works fine. Thanks.
After upgrade to 4.0.1 the problems are as follow:
– different languages windows/tabs disappear and are as paragraphs on one page
– other post/pages functions are not clickable – Screen Options, Help/Support, Visual – Text tabs
Will author at least give an aswear if would be fixes for that?

@thetone: I’m sorry to hear that. Once more, are you sure the issue comes from mqTranslate? Have you disabled all other plugins? Can you send me a screenshot?
WP 4.1 & mqT 2.9 works fine so far.
