Moving wordpress to godaddy question

I’m trying to move my wordpress website to godaddy.I’m reading that..

“If you’re using the same domain name for the WordPress blog, you need to update your DNS, which brings your current blog offline”

I dont want my site http://www.satvoices.com to go off line at all but i want to transfer files to godaddy so i can work onit and veiw it via Primary Domain DNS until it all looks right and then switch over when my other hosting ends.Any easy directions for all this would really help, thanks!
