Moving wordpress: HTTP 500 error – Working Admin
-
Hi,
My website http://www.micaelahourbeigt.com.ar was installed originally in a subfolder: http://www.micaelahourbeigt.com.ar/site. Working fine. I wanted to move the index to the root folder, followed the instructions in the codex, I’ve done it before…
Well, this time I did SOMETHING wrong. My admin panel still works, I can log in and make changes, ect. But the blog.. I get a HTTP 500 error (under .com or .com/site… Nothing) All I can see is the favicon.I tried “undoing” what I did, since I could still access the admin. Didn’t work.
Redid the whole process. Still nothing.
I researched and tried the fixes in the codex, I read it could be a .htaccess error, tried deleting the contents of htaccess both in the root folder and in the subfolder. Didn’t work. Tried updating the permalinks, going back to default…
Ahh!!! Of course as I’d done it before I didn’t backup before I started so here am. I’ve re-red the instructions on giving wordpress it’s own directory a thousand times and I just can’t see where I went wrong, or why my admin page still works.
Any fixes? Can I revert my whole site to a few days back????
A million thanks to anyone who can help…
