hello, i worked for months on a new wordpress version of an old static site, and i installed worpress in a subfolder called wp, so in the meanwhile people was able to get informations in the old site, and i was able to check all modifications and evolutions of the new blog site..

now that blog was running as i wanted, i deleted all old site files and moved wordpress files in the root directory, and now nothing.. i think i have lost all my works..
    somebody can help me please?

i have already checked on wordpress search and i realized that i moved files BEFORE changing URI and URL in the admin panel..

so change them now. its in the codex. Search the documentation ONLY (use the checkboxes) for moving wordpress

yes i saw them, but the results were not as i hoped, so i tried to make multiple changes, like re-moving files in the original directory, or re-installing wordpress by the first steps, but NOTHING.
and now, i can’t open admin page anymore.

    Stop screwing with it.

Put all of the wordpress files exactly where you want the install – do not change anything in wp-config.php – then after moving the files – follow these instructions
    http://codex.wordpress.org/Changing_The_Site_URL
change BOTH url’s to the correct value

After you log in you should reset your permalinks

btw, everything is stored in the database so you won’t lose your work

yah I actually pointed you to the wrong search, apologies.

I get so tired of having to regurgitate the ‘moving wordpress’ and the ‘change the site url’ urls that I got them confused.

There REALLY ought to be a an auto-responder on here to spit those out to every damn thread.

    :>)
    I so agree
