Moving WooCommerce CSS to child theme

Hi
I want to move WooCommerce css file to my child theme and not sure of the preferred manner in which to do so.
I copied the woocommerce.css into my child theme css file and disabled WC css in the settings. This however caused a problem with all the formatting.
Ideally I’d like to keep most of the formatting but have the flexibility of modifying certain styles.
I have read a few threads on this subject but not getting a definitive answer.
