Moving Small Blog
-
Hope this is a quick question with an easy solution π
About three years back I built a small website for an author friend of mine: we’re talking twenty, twenty four pages maximum. I’ve persuaded him that he should switch to a blog, if only to give him the freedom to update more easily e.g. carry weekly book reviews. That’s the background.
We found a template that he liked, and I played around with it on the personal web space my ISP gave me, it’s not used for anything else. For convenience sake I just cut and pasted the material from the site into the various posts, pages, and then we tidied it up.
Now that he’s got it to his liking: images, font size, colour, various links etc. is there a handy way I can transfer all this info from the demo blog to my friends actual blog? Is it as simple as setting up a wordpress blog and just ftp the directories or files over to the real blog?
As I mentioned above there are not that many pages/posts to the actual blog so would it be handier just to copy and past again?
We haven’t set up the blog yet and his database has never been enabled on his own web space.
Many thanks for advice offered.
Kevin
