    Hi,
I’m new to Word press and installed sugar and spice last night. I’m trying to understand how to move a post to a specific page.
I must say that I love ‘Sugar and Spice’!!

    Hello!

I’m not sure what you mean by ‘move post to specific page’. Please elaborate.

    Hello Alex
There is the ”posts” and ”pages”, right? So you can add a new post to the main page, right? And if you add a page, it shows up on the top of the main page, ok?
If I want to add more posts to those pages, how do I do it?
If it’s something so simple that I’m not understanding, accept my apologies for being a bother.
My site is http://www.trini-cakes.com . I want to continue posts on Cakes, how to’s, inspiration, etc

    Hello!

What you see on the home page is set through Settings > Reading. If you choose “Latest posts” then every new post shows up on your main page, no further action necessary. Page will show on the main page ONLY if you chose “Static page”. And it will only be the one page you selected. You can’t have both posts and pages on the main page.

I think I know what you’re after – you want to create posts blog style, but you also want the menu items like Inspiration etc. If so then you’re going about this the wrong way. You can assign posts to categories (multiple if needed) and then make those categories items in top menu. Category page will show all posts with this category.
You’re also gonna need custom menu for that. Please read the documentation on custom menus.

Thank you, alex27! Will read up on that.
