Moving Localhosting Mamp to Live

    I have installed Mamp and WordPress and I have built my site. I want to now make my site live. I want to know I have to pay for a host server and domain name, or if there is a way to do this for free as this blog is just for a hobby. I am not very good with techy stuff so if possible I need simple explanations.

    You can get free hosting, and use their subdomain here:
    https://wordpress.com/
    There are restrictions on hosting here, hopefully you can live with them.

    On the other hand registering a name is cheap, prices starting at $1, and there is really cheap hosting too, just how much money are you saving ?
