Moving local website to another local server

    Unfortunately, my computer broke down while I was making a website on a local server and thus I’m not able to extract the files from WordPress on this computer. I only have a copy of the my website folder. Is it possible to set up the website on another computer just from this folder?

    If you have a copy of the directory containing WordPress + themes/plugins etc, then yes, you should be able to eventually recreate the site. You won’t be able to recover any content however unless you have a copy of the associated database.

    It was actually the content I was most interested in recreating since I’ve been making a website with more than 200 posts, but I don’t have a copy of the database:-( I hope they can fix my computer, then. Thanks a lot for your fast reply:-)
