    Hello All,

Thank you for any help in advance.

I am trying to move the site from my Weebly host to WordPress. I know that I have to change hosts in order to switch to WP. However, it is going to take me a long time to develop my site under WP (because I am inexperienced), and so I would like to keep my site hosted by Weebly at in the meantime.

Can anyone tell me the best way to go about doing this? When going through the WP tutorials, it looks as though I have to get my site and domain set up before I can play around (create static first page, try themes, etc.)

Thank you so much in advance.

Ask your hosts if they can provide you with a temporary domain. Or install WordPress in a sub-folder on your current site and use the method outlined in this Codex page to allow WP to take over the root domain when you’re ready.

    Thanks esmi.

I didn’t even know you could do that…

I called spoke with bluehost and they said it was the norm. I am learning…

    Thanks again.
