    Hello All,

Thank you for any help in advance.

I am trying to move the site http://www.acoustichiphop.com from my Weebly host to WordPress. I know that I have to change hosts in order to switch to WP. However, it is going to take me a long time to develop my site under WP (because I am inexperienced), and so I would like to keep my site hosted by Weebly at http://www.acoustichiphop.com in the meantime.

Can anyone tell me the best way to go about doing this? When going through the WP tutorials, it looks as though I have to get my site and domain set up before I can play around (create static first page, try themes, etc.)

Thank you so much in advance.

    Nathan

Ask your hosts if they can provide you with a temporary domain. Or install WordPress in a sub-folder on your current site and use the method outlined in this Codex page to allow WP to take over the root domain when you’re ready.

    Thanks esmi.

I didn’t even know you could do that…

I called spoke with bluehost and they said it was the norm. I am learning…

    Thanks again.
