Moving a site | WordPress.org

I have had my site in it’s own directory while building it to keep the old pages still running.. It’s complete now and I want to set it as my domain home page. The Settings, Site Address and WordPress Address options are blacked out. I am unable to change them. That seems to be the first step in moving them.

Any suggestions?

Thanks. That was the first thing I tried. It doesn’t allow the first step. I cannot change the Site Address.

Check your wp-config.php file.

Found these 2 lines in wpconfig.php but when I remove or redirect the rest of the site is non-functional.

define(‘WP_SITEURL’, ‘http://www.mysitehere.com/blog’);
define(‘WP_HOME’, ‘http://www.mysitehere.com/blog’);

Those lines are there because you changed the site’s url previously as described in Method 1 of Changing_The_Site_URL. Remove the lines and change the site’s url using Method 2 instead. Then you’ll be able to edit your urls in Settings -> General.
