Moving a database? please help

Is it possible to move a database from a subdomain to the main domain without losing that database?

I made a subdomain (ie, http://www.blog.mysite.com), but now I want to use my blog database in my mysite.com space. I would just make a new database there but I have a years worth of content on the subdomain:(
