Move Thumbnail Navigation Bar into Slider

I have successfully changed the background of the thumbnail navigation bar to a semi-transparent black and I want to push the bar up into the slider, maybe 10-15 px above the bottom edge of the images. I have tried almost every setting in slide.css. Is there something I am missing?
