Hello there,
Thank you for reaching us about your issue.
Since this looks a lot like a conflict with some other code, the first recommended step is the conflict test (ideally in a staging environment):
*Briefly* disable all other plugins and enable the default Twenty Twenty theme. Please also disable all add-ons. If this fixes the problem, enable everything one by one, checking each time to see when the problem returns.
Please let us know when you find the conflict so that we can take a look and see what we can do about it.
If this doesn’t help you at all please open a presale ticket so we can have a better look at your issue.
Best Regards.

Hi there!
What do you mean by all OTHER plugins? Everything but the booking plugin?
BTW, I don’t have a staging site. Just been working live.
I have since purchased translate press in order to receive support but have not had a response.
Greetings,
By all other plugins I wanted to say evrything except TranslatePress and the booking plugin.
Seems like one of my colleagues did answer your support ticket. Please feel free to open another one here:https://translatepress.com/support/open-ticket/

I tried deactivating the other plugins and running a different theme but it seems the booking system is dependent on other plugins for it to function and for me to test it that way. I reactivated the plugins and my theme and it seems translate press started functioning better (I have had a similar fix in the past where deactivting and reactivating plugin/theme seems to make it work better?!) and was able to access more strings. Initially I attempted fixing the meta-data (which got auto-translated) from the Japanese version of the site. This did not work. I then created new translations from the English (original) version of the site and I was able to locate and fix translations that were causing errors in the plugin. It might be helpful to know for someone else who is translating English to Japanese that some %s (which is used often in the system gets translated to ”の”. The system is now working for the translated site as well. I am soooooo relieved. I still have messy translations that need fixing but the Motopress Hotel Booking System seems to be working now.
