Hey! I really like the new Motion Effect update, but I’ve got some issues. It’s working fine on the front page. I got different shapes moving, rotating, etc. The problem I’ve got is that on my second page the shapes on the top are just doing its animation, not the shapes at the bottom. They’re still like dead fishes.

Anyone out there that knows how to solve this? Would love help.

    Thanks
    Filip

Hi Filip. Please share a link to the page where the animations are not working, so we can take a look. Also let us know what to look for. Which elements are supposed to move, and when?

Sorry, I can not link the website as it is an upcoming website, but I’m looking to move a custom-positioned image by using the feature “motion effects on scroll”. For some reason, they’re stuck, unlike the ones on my home page.

    Thanks

Is it a fixed element? As mentioned at https://docs.elementor.com/article/567-elementor-pro-2-5-motion-effects-faq, the effects will not affect elements that have been configured as Fixed Elements since the viewport scroll calculations won’t apply to their position.

If that’s not the issue, then it’s difficult for us to be able to help without being able to look at the problem itself. Perhaps you could do a Loom screencast to help us visualize both the front end and the back end setup?

Hey Cavalier! It’s not a fixed object, but a custom-positioned shape (with the setting, position = absolute)
However, the weird thing is that the motion effect works in the editor, but when I preview the site they’re stuck and won’t move at all.
Another weird thing is that exactly the same shapes work on the homepage, but freezes on the second page.

    Thanks for help :))

Perhaps you are running out of memory? It’s difficult to guess without being able to inspect it.

You can try the suggestions at https://docs.elementor.com/article/204-my-changes-do-not-appear-online but I’m not sure they are applicable in this situation. But you mentioned they work in the editor but not live, so it might help.

Since you are using Pro, you’ll actually need to open a support ticket at my.elementor.com. WordPress.org rules state that commercial products are not supported here.
