Most Recent Product Not Showing

I have an issue where the most recent product does not display on the shop/products pages. Also the “Sort By” bar is at the bottom (wouldn’t it be better at the top?) and a product description keeps popping up at the bottom of the shop or category or product pages.

Can anyone help me resolve these strange, buggy problems?
