• Hi,
My ‘welcome’ page on my blog (http://avaeteretere.com/) is based on ‘posts’ and we expect our members to react by creating a commentary.
I’m now using a new template : WP Twenty Seventeen when I used to have an older version before.
A big difference for our users is that they no longer acces to a button such as ‘leave a commentary’ at the bottom of the post.
The only access to this field is to click on the post title to unfold the post totally.
Is there a hint I’ve missed in the set-up. I’ve been through the whole dashboard items and I couldn’t find anything like “Add a commentary access button at the end of the post”
Thank you for helping me fixing this
    Jeff

  • Hello,
there are four option which need to check.
    https://www.screencast.com/t/YGT4SdiQ
first edit post then check its Discussion meta box is enable if not then enable it from top menu button Screen Option.
Then check in Discussion meta box Allow comments check box is checked if not then checked it.
if its also fine then go to setting and click on Discussion menu and check
    Default article settings.

hope fully that will help you.
    Thanks

    Hi,
Thanks for this very quick answer…
I immediately checked on my DashBoard.
From the 4 topics you mentioned :
1 : (Additional Settings) was already checked
    2 : Discussion wan’t, so I marked it
3 : Discussion Box with 2 options DOESN’T EXIST on my platform !!!
Any idea how to activate it??
4 : Settings the default values on ‘Discussion’ were already ‘on’

    So far, no changes.
Anyway, I’m more likely to find a global solution that works for ALL my posts and not being obliged to set up every single post to have that action done.
Hereafter a dump of my dashboard page :

    Thanks again for helping

the Discussion meta box should be under the editor plz check it on you page actually we can drag and set it every where so you can check if it exits and check box is checked. if you still not find that box then i can suggest something else.
