• The organization I’m working for has a gallery set up for their photos and artwork through FAlbum. If you’re unfamiliar, it just pulls photos straight off of your flickr account and sets them up nicely.

The plugin works fine, but what they want is another instance of the plugin. They want a separate page for art than they have for photos. It makes it less muddy when they have one flickr account for photos and one for art because they’re going to have a LOT of art and a LOT of photos.

How could I go about setting up another instance of this plugin without screwing everything up. I tried simply downloading the plugin and ftp’ing up to a new directory, falbum2, but that made everything crash. I deleted the whole falbum2 subdirectory and everything works fine again.

I’m stumped once again and you guys have helped me immensely in the past. Can anyone think of a solution?

Short answer: You cannot have two copies of the same plugin. Period. But the plugin might have a way to let you also use the one copy with a different flickr account.

Plugins are singular items. If the plugin does not offer you a way to access a different flickr account programmatically, then you’re screwed. It will likely take major rewriting of the plugin if it can be done at all.
