more than one database

    I can see from searches that you’ve had to answer this request- for users to be able to have more than one database- dozens of times.

    I’ve read through all your answers. One of them is to find in another plugin better suited- my answer to this is I’ve spent a fair amount of time learning how to use yours and ideally would like to replicate that knowledge. I don’t feel there is a better suited database.

    Another answer you give is to be ingenious with fields. I think I could just about make this work, but I have about 30 questions for one set of users, and another 30 (different) questions for a different set. I want each set to have its own excel doc as it’s too unwieldy to have 60 columns.

    My ideal solution would have two plug-ins, particIpants-database-v1 and participants-database-v2- separate from one another.

    I can see from your replies that it is more complicated than my simplistic solution. I write simply to add my voice to this in the future possible “wish list”. It’s something we’d certainly pay for.

    Thanks for the feedback. I do have grand plans to make the plugin handle several databases, but that is a long way off at this point.

    Great to hear that- I’m sure your grand plans will be welcomed.

    In the interim, is it impossible to replicate the plug-in, change all the names of the appropriate files to something else “barticipants-database”, (or similar, but you get the idea!) and achieve something this way?!

    Possible, but I would only recommend that to experienced coders…and of course, I don’t support it.
