We’ve been using the plugin Google Analytics for WooCommerce and it has been working well for us. It has great event tracking for add to cart, remove from cart, checkout, etc.
I would like to use Site Kit to take advantage of all of the Google features in one plugin and make the other one that only covers Analytics obsolete. It seems, however, that Site Kit’s implementation of the Analytics tracking isn’t quite as comprehensive and doesn’t have as many events covered as the other.

Is there any way that some of the event tracking features from Google Analytics for WooCommerce could be implemented in a similar way in Site Kit in the future?

    Thanks!

Hi @figurelli and thanks for your question on more in depth Analytics tracking. We are currently working to bring more Analytics stats to your Site Kit dashboard and will soon be bringing more key metrics options for you to select which builds on the work we did to bring users enhanced conversion tracking.

While currently you’re only able to capture and track a set of conversion events, you will soon be able to report on these and see this information with a new set of key metrics soon to be introduced to Site Kit. This will make use of events such as:

    • add_to_cart
    • purchase
    • submit_lead_form
    • subscribe

While I can’t give you an exact date on this, it will be coming soon so please do keep an eye out for this. I hope this helps to give you more in depth Analytics as you are looking for and please do let me know if you have any questions or further suggestions for the plugin.

Great news, looking forward to that. I’ll be able to eliminate another plugin and increase functionality at the same time.

    Thank you!
