More appealing home page

Hi Guys, I am looking to change a few things on my front page to brighten it up and make more interesting. I would like to split the page by different colors eg. Top middle and bottom.
I want the ‘theme colors’ eg. the slider arrows and footer bar to be the same blue as my logo.

Maybe make the menu bar a bit more exciting too?

I know its asking a lot but I’m stuck with this basic setup and would like it to be a bit more exciting.
