ModRewrite not Working in /blog folder | WordPress.org

I have HTACCESS in root that is for my app, and wordpress’ recommended htaccess sits in in /blog

However, It doesnt work. My first root install seems to be overpowering it.

ANy ideas

Hey Norbert

Just want to make sure I understand you have two separate sites? One in the Root and the other in /blog? From my understanding they should both be in the root or sub domain..

For reference take a look at the WordPress WIKI on HTAccess

What is the difference between the two .htacces files?

Hello tedrubin, no – i have a subfolder install of wordpress in /blog
My index uses moderewrite for a web app sperate from wordpress. WordPress htaccess config in / root is not working (it crashes site).
