    Hey there,

I’m getting permanent emails that some files are modified, f.e. the wordpress logo svg. I replaced this myself with another logo and added it to file exclusion list (wordpress-logo.svg).
However, the warnings persist. I don’t know how to solve this issue.

    Best regards

    Hi,

We don’t actually have the ability to exclude files from the core file scan, as the exclusions you’re using are for the unrecognised file scan.

However, with version 7.0 of Shield (coming in the next couple of weeks), you’ll be able to achieve this. We wont be adding it to v6.x

A completely alternative approach you could take for this is to replace the file with the original and stop receiving the warnings, and then:

    1) use a .htaccess rule to redirect requests to wordpress-logo.svg to your custom uploaded .svg (which you could upload using WP uploads).

    or
    2) use the Redirection plugin to achieve a simple redirect just like the .htaccess approach.

In this way you create a permanent solution to the problem so you never need to worry about the scanner or updates overwriting it.
